The session covered wider perspectives around adaptive human comfort within the respective socio-cultural and environmental conditions. Dr Siddiq discussed how these contexts influenced the internal and external design features of traditional houses for improved thermal comfort. Seasonal parameters such as temperature, humidity and wind could therefore be adapted for more sustainable and environmentally sensitive design.
